Hotel deposits can take up to 30 days to be refunded to your card. This delay occurs because hotels often place a temporary hold on your funds as a security measure. The release of this hold depends on the hotel’s internal policies and payment processor. In some cases, hotels batch-process refunds, which can add to the timeline. Additionally, the transaction must move out of the “pending” status before the refund can appear in your account.
